The System of goals inherent to evolution of life and communication.

Some light reading music… to accompany today’s post.

I was reminded today about coming back to my writing every day.

I recently watched a video on YouTube regarding systems being better than goals. Goals are overarching targets but you use the system to get to each goal along the path. Systems are what will help you achieve and surpass those goals. As a writer, that means, that I need to get back to writing every day.

No matter what.

A representation of my typing this out.

I need to take at least 20-30 minutes to just type words and by giving it consistent time, I will build a system out of habit again. Consistency is key to making the framework of systems work for you. With some confidence and faith in my own ability and talent, that I can again capture the perspectives that come with prose or, rather; come from those words.

Funny little things, words. All set to agreed upon conceptualizations of systems.

All descriptions in their own right and labels nonetheless. We just agree to those labels.

And sometimes we do not agree too. That is one of the cruxes of communication and expression of cultural and environmental systems. In order to get thus far, as a species; we have done it by sharing. Even if it was simply the expansion of viral concepts.

“Speech has allowed the communication of ideas, enabling human beings to work together to build the impossible. Mankind’s greatest achievements have come about by talking, and its greatest failures by not talking. It doesn’t have to be like this. Our greatest hopes could become reality in the future. With the technology at our disposal, the possibilities are unbounded. All we need to do is make sure we keep talking.” — Stephen Hawking

Even in conversation, we have become better with some communications and not with other portions of communicating in general. We have now infused our ways of expression through visual means by adding contextual imagery into our day to day digital expressions everywhere by using a computing device and emojis.

Whether those discussions are with people you know by text or a messenger service, or you are publishing it out for the world to see, inviting a group discussion on a topic. Not that hieroglyphics or Sanskrit, nor even cuneiform have no relevance to the organized system that written expressions of verbal and somatic expression can be. Systems want to grow exponentially and while they are iterative expansions at right angles to the previous step, they branch out giving a richer view as more information is collected, collated, and added to the well of knowledge that is the neural network of the system.

Without feedback from each smaller system and the wave functionality that it induces as we see it, we wouldn’t be able to experience the reality we all agree to. In essence, it is a shared experience full of subjective viewpoints. Each viewpoint becomes intertwined with each other viewpoint to also create a narrative neural network. The system will always strive towards emergent behavior, self-organization, and expansion.

Explore, Expand, Exploit, and sometimes Extermination is the driving goals of many systems we are familiar with.

These are no different guiding light goals than bacteria use to thrive. That cultures of spores use to propagate. That trees expand into forests with enough time as it is allowed to clone outward in its expansion.

We are merely chains in the system, or maybe a better analogy is a link in that chain. Because we are part of so many chains due to the interconnectivity of everything and everyone, we are morally bound to be responsible for our choices, expressions, and decisions. Because they truly do affect everything else around them in the universe.

Just as my decisions, my word choice; worthless in the written word without some semblance of expression, and the experience supported by a knowledge base {built from everything I have experienced to the moment} from the subjective Phaneron perspective interact with everything, and everyone, around me.

They also inform and interact with other things not around me as the feedback wave function extends out slightly warping reality around me. Merely by surviving and experiencing this reality makes little wave fluctuations that make changes and bigger ripples within the framework.

That wave function collapse is local, but the information is still sent along the lattice framework of the neural network system.

That framework is indeed how both the imaging of gray brain matter cells and clusters of synapses and galactic clusters in the observable universe look so coincidentally alike.

As above, so below? As below, so above? Iterations of information systems that propagate in lattice arrayed layers to make up a framework of space-time with all of the additional dimensions to allow observers into the system.

Observers don’t just have read access, but read and writing access. The entire act of consciousness is a sequence of observations by means of perspective. Any species that can create items or repurpose materials with purpose, they are showing that write access. Has that been confused with concepts of divinity? Maybe that is a topic for a later time to revisit.

The beginning of my system is merely writing every day for at least 20 minutes and letting the emergent flourish. The system is to infuse consistency of those actions so that it may flourish and grow a talent, a trade skill; as some would argue. The motivation is simple to and hearkens back to natural selection and evolution as systems. Use it or lose it.

  • What systems do you notice interacting in your subjective experience of our consensual reality?

Happy New Year: An open welcome to 2014

While some of the world is already celebrating a new year, it has yet to come to pass in Arizona, USA. That’s the home of this Harbinging Owl, full of Syn and optimism that this new year will bring welcome changes.
Not that I just expect them to land in my lap with luck, I know that things have to be fought for and sought out to reap the whirlwind and gain the success that is so wanted. So, here is to all of us who truly intend to better themselves in the coming year. I hope to finally realize a dream I’ve had most of my life: to be published. I am currently workin on a few projects that I WILL be getting published in 2014.

I know, because I refuse to give up on them and I am so close. Perseverance is key. May we all rise from our ashes anew and eager to realize a dream, only tl add more goals and keep moving dynamically forward. Blessed Be and Happy New Year (under a New Moon, no less).

The Nautilus [draft 3.4]

Work in Progress

(My phone won’t let me copy and paste the link properly)

The above link points to a short story that I have worked on for the CyberKnights R.P.G. forums. CyberKnights RPG is a open Beta Android RPG game reminiscent of ShadowRun for the Genesis/SNES and earlier game types. It is still being currently worked on and updated frequently. I highly recommend the game for a few reasons. A) There are no permissions for the .apk download. B) The game is full of great CyberPunk gameplay C) While it isn’t the prettiest game you will find on your Android device it is massively deep. D) as it is Open Beta, it is still being worked on continuously. E) The forums will provide a wealth of information and help F) The Developers are on the forums and will not only answer you, but may take your suggestions and add them to the game. G) A storyline is being developed as you read this. CyberPunk is one of my biggest literary weaknesses. Call it our current race towards Futurism and constant need to be connected. FYI, there is a Necromancer movie coming soon. We can all thank Gibson, and the many other CyberPunk writers before me for laying down the foundation…and while many thought that CP (not to be confused with child porn) was dead, the new social networking / smartphone /connectivity issues we are all dealing with presently have and will bring about a resurgence for CyberPunk. …Mark my words… As for The Nautilus, please leave a comment or two. It seems the story has gotten away from me lately, and while this is a draft, it needs to be reigned in to short story length and breadth or expanded to novella standards.

Someone help…part 1 of?

I do not have access to a regular PC or laptop, and outside of my DROID 3 smartphone (which is what I use to type, research, source together, and post my witty meaningless drivel from) my browser on my PS3 has been getting really slow Wi-fi connections which hinders it further…

The current thing I need help on is WordPress, in general. I am somewhat new to it, and had a rough time setting it up as it is. What am I missing? What should I do to make it more complete? What do I do to make it more user and reader friendly?
And how do I change my little thumbnail picture for when I post comments? ( I have seen the thumbnail that is there…and I never chose it. If I can see it correctly, it really bothers me as to what it is and needs to be changed immediately )

Please post comments as I am asking for feedback and need the community help to get these things ironed out.

Thanks, H.O.o.S

Diminishing returns in the customer service line of life.

I feel bad, on more than a few levels. I think I am coming down with the flu. I haven’t been writing as much as I want to, would like to, or have the creative energies to do so on the projects that are supposed to fill my time. I’ve been hit with the depression bug, the I-can’t-seem-to-find-any-other-work bug, the writer’s block bug, the rejection bug…
Someone call in a medic.
I had assumed, (yeah you know the cliché on that word) that publicizing on Facebook would generate more possible page views. Apparently of the 500 some-odd friends I have, there have had more reads from other bloggers on WordPress. I know that my FB account is for networking just as much as trolling for stupid or funny things to waste my time. However, you have to care about what others are posting. While I, foolishly it seems, care; it is not reciprocated. What a bummer. But, I shouldn’t have gotten my hopes up.
It wasn’t that I inferred having 500+ friends meant I would have 500+ views daily on a blog that has no merits, having been merely created haphazardly to begin with. I didn’t have these delusions of grandeur. All I asked for was maybe 20 to 30 page views per post. Pretty reasonable I would think. Pretty reasonable you would say. Consider this: since most of the people I know are on FB anyway, especially current people I communicate with and a great many friends from High School…there is a lot more than 50 of those people. Due to the weird ass ranking system for page views, posts, etc. that FB has adopted of late…I can easily blame it on them for not allowing my Constant Readers (yes, I appropriated the saying from Mr. King, as an homage, and as a good phrase for the readers I do nave and hope to have) to be able to see my linked posts.
That may be the other portion of it too. Most people have no issue with clicking a link to a video on YouTube or Ted or Vizeo, but can’t be bothered to click on a link where they might be required to read something…even after they have spent an hour or more reading their newsfeed on Facebook, commenting, etc. How dare I make them read! :-O the horror of it all!!
Enough of my stupid rant about people wasting their time productively …do what?! Sounds like military intelligence from the outside too, doesn’t it?
I figure if I put up enough of these posts…on the myriad of subjects I have interest in…that someone somewhere will take notice. That, or I will send out brown and black rats to spread it like, well, like the plague. Plus, if I post more than once a day, my other hope is to kickstart my creative energies, pump those neurons, massage that white brain tissue…and get more work done effectively.
So, a fair warning is probably advised: There will be a post or 3 or 10 that may not make much sense to you, may not be of interest to you, or may possibly offend you. If so, I recommend one of two things; 1) stop reading said post and wait for the next one. 2) stop reading altogether.
I would hope there are more Ones than Twos in the future. If we all read something that made us shudder, offended us, or cast a light on an otherwise heretofore shadowed portion of our reality…well we wouldn’t dynamically change as people now would we?

Pardon the virtual dust and debris ::cough::

Of course I had to be different, to challenge myself; and to make a mountain out of a molehill. I have chosen to try and edit, customize, and design the look of this website/blog/journal/digest/etc on my phone and Playstation 3.
Yep, no one ever gave me credit for common sense. LOL. The most ironic part, is that I have my PC tower with me. I haven’t boot it up in almost a year, and I have proper browsers that would enable me to readily do all of the customization with a quickness…except that it is not Wi-Fi ready. That is the only way I can connect my PS3 online currently, and cannot tether my phone for a ‘net connection as my provider will want to charge me extra and I cannot afford the $.
That being said, please forgive if the look and feel of the site changes until I am truly 100% happy with it, and more importantly my Constant Readers are happy with it. I will take suggestions, especially as I am new to WordPress.

😀 I had to, at least once.

Shout out for greatness!

I wanted to give a shout out to all of my friends at Fallen Comics. I would name names, but my mother always taught me to be polite. :P. Actually, I won’t name names simply because I can’t (sadly) remember everyones’ name and I don’t want to rudely leave anyone out.
They have been exceedingly patient with me and a treatment for an upcoming book of theirs that I have tried to tackle. I am still working on it, and hope to have it over to them soon. After a little bit of tweaking and some finesse, I am Über confident that it can be successful and a fantastic addition to their lineup.
Most especially: Thank You to Robbie for your inspiration, diligence,  and patience. I assure you that your choice of adding me into the Fallen Comics fold was not a bad choice, and I will prove that very, very soon.

* To everyone and anyone else within eyesight of this Blog Post. Please go to Fallen Comics and look around, log in, and tell your friends. Support the arts, support real expression, and support fantastic storytelling with phenomenal artwork. Thank you!
